The Aronia Berry

Aronia melanocarpa, or Chokeberry is a hardy plant native to North America that has attracted scientific interest due to its deep purple, almost black pigmentation that arises from dense contents of phenolic phytochemicals, especially anthocyanin and oligomeric proanthocyanidin (OPCs). Aronias' rich antioxidant content may be beneficial as a dietary preventative of oxidative stress, to support cardiovascular health, to help with healthy inflammation levels, gastric functions, healthy eye inflammation levels, and liver function.
